OUR
STORY
With the use of my BSc I plan to teach with what I learnt in mind, and educate students on how to access a whole other universe. Prior to founding Whangarei Diving Academy, I spent 4 years in Dunedin gaining a Bachelor of Science and then went onto studying a Diploma in Professional Scuba Diving. Once qualified I embarked on teaching around the world, and after seeing how most operations run, I was determined to offer a different kind of experience, catered to those who want a more unique learning experience. This background has equipped me with the expertise and insights needed to uphold our commitment to quality and ensure the success of our small diving business.
As an avid diver myself, I recognized the need for a diving operation that prioritizes quality over quantity, focusing on delivering exceptional service and unforgettable adventures. Creating more advocates for the protection of our oceans is of extreme importance to me and a core value of this new business. The vision for Whangarei Diving Academy began to take shape during countless dives where I observed a growing demand for personalized, high-quality diving experiences that allows students to learn at their own pace and timeframe.
With this vision in mind, I embarked on the journey of establishing my business, calling on a team of experienced divers who share my commitment to excellence and working with several business advisors to develop the concept. We aim to create memorable experiences that leave a lasting impact on our customers while promoting conservation and respect for marine ecosystems.
